Rosener House


The Rosener House professional staff of 18 has a combined total of over 150 years experience in services for seniors. Staff members have a wide variety of educational backgrounds, from psychology to gerontology, nursing, and other specific disciplines such as Music Therapy and Recreational Therapy. 

Staff members include the following:

  • Director – Barbara Kalt, oversees the operation of the program, responsible for planning, carrying out and evaluating the program's goals and the organization's goals. Barbara has over 30 years of dedicated service to Rosener House! 


  • Program Manager  Dao Do, manages the day to day operations of Rosener House, supervises the activity program. 
  • Social Worker Sarah Schachter, M.S.W., performs intake interview and assessment of new participants, consults with family members, coordinates family support groups.
  • Family Services Manager Kathi Minden, assists social worker with intakes, coordinates transportation and special events, manages office duties.

  • Activity Leaders assist in planning and implementation of activities, assist with participant supervision and personal care.


  • Registered Nurse Carol Blackwell, performs health assessments, develops initial individual plan of care, monitors general health of participants.

  • Lead Certified Nursing Assistant, Augusto Manalang – coordinates and provides personal care assistance, assists nurse..


  • Physical Therapist, Nancy Larson evaluates participant needs, develops and carries out treatment plan for physical therapy.
  • Speech Language Pathologist, Lisa Levine-Sporer  evaluates participant needs, provides speech pathology services.                                 
  • Occupational Therapist, Linda Irizarry  evaluates participant needs for occupational therapy, including daily living tasks and use of assistive devices, develops and carries out treatment plan.
